I joined Canterbury Aero Club in November 1998 and finally passed my PPL in January 2001. I’ve enjoyed taking Young Eagles flying. I’ve competed in local, regional and national competitions - with varying success and plenty laughs.I have served on the Canterbury Aero Club's Executive for nine years and still do so on a couple of the clubs's sub-committees. I look forward to bringing my skills and experience to the benefit of Flying NZ Clubs and their members.

A long time member of the Tauranga Aero club having served on the committee in many roles.I have been an eager participant in flying competitions, particularly formation and aerobatics, both here and in Australia and have been a winning Wings team member on several occasions. I was awarded a FAI Air Sports medal in 2017 in recognition of my contribution to air sports in New Zealand.I am very happy to share my enthusium and knowlege with clubs in the region.

I have been in aviation since I was a child, thanks to my father who is a PPL, Tow Pilot, and the CFI of the local Gliding Club. I started Gliding as a teenager and soloed at 16, before moving overseas.

I started my PPL in Australia before returning to New Zealand, initially flying microlights before completing my PPL. I enjoy all aspects of aviation and helping people along their aviation journey. I regularly help the local Gliding Club as a tow pilot for both weekend flying and competition events, and would like to get back into glider flying when time permits.

I have competed in the Flying NZ competitions since returning from Australia, and I look forward each year to the Regional and National competitions. The competitions are a great way for every pilot to hone and refresh their skills, while meeting like minded people within our flying community. I look forward to helping our member clubs promote and foster the ideals of what recreational flying and Flying NZ is all about.

I started learning to Fly with the Southland Aero Club in 1984. After a break away from aviation, in 2004 I gained my PPL with the Otago Aero Club. Where I have held almost all positions of office on the executive including Club Captain and President.

I now hold a CPL Licence and was previously a Senior Microlight instructor. I now fly microlights on my FNZ Part 149 Certificate.

I have been involved in the Aero Club movement for 30-plus years. Have a keen interest in supporting club members in competition flying as this leads to better piloting confidence and skills. Helped with organising the 2010 & 2013, and the canceled 2016, Air Safari. Served on the Flying NZ Executive as Northern Region Rep for seven years. FAI representative in New Zealand since 2012. I have thirty years’ experience in governance holding an Institute of Directors qualification in Board Governance.

I served most of my 21 years in the RNZAF at Woodbourne on heavy maintenance of C130 and Bristol Freighter aircraft. I was also an engineering instructor at the technical training school at Woodbourne. I left the RNZAF in 1990 and joined the Ministry of Transport Air Transport Division as an LAME examiner. After a short period with ASL I returned to CAA as the Sports & Recreation Coordinator and later manager. I hold an aircraft engineer license, a microlight inspection authority, a PPL and have built and operate a two seat Sonex aircraft.
