Come and Visit Omarama located in the amazing McKenzie basin.
The Omarama airfield is centrally located within a few minutes flying time of Pukaki airfield and Twizel township and less than an hour's flying time from Mt Cook, Tekapo, Timaru, Oamaru, Alexandra, Wanaka, Queenstown, and Dunedin. Omarama is renowned as one of the premium gliding sites worldwide with two commercial gliding operations on the field and gliding club operations during the season. A Mobil avgas swipecard pump is in front of the terminal building. The Aero Club is unattended.
