Welcome to the Manawatu Aero Club
Located at Palmerston North Airport barely five minutes drive from the central city. Palmerston North Airport is a very interesting place to learn to fly. you will gain the confidence as you slot yourself safely in between airline traffic such as ATR72 turboprop and Jetstream 41 aircraft.
We believe Palmerston North is an excellent training environment and you have mastered the art of flying here you will have little difficulty flying into most airfields in the country. The Airport has a 1900m sealed runway as well as a 600m grass runway and is equipped with several instrument approach aids. You also have the benefit of a highly professional Control Tower to help make life easier for the student pilot. As radio work is a cornerstone of pilot training, it is a great training ground for a student to gain confidence in aviation communication.
