Young Eagle scholarships

Each year, Flying NZ awards a variety of scholarships to deserving Young Eagles.

Flying NZ Ross Macpherson Memorial Young Eagles Flying Scholarship 2017

ENTRIES NOW OPEN.

ABRIDGED CONDITIONS and RULES OF ENTRY
Each Scholarship will be to the value of $3200.00 (GST Inc).
In addition to the six flying Scholarships one of the recipients will be selected to travel to Airways NZ in Christchurch. They will experience a day with Airways NZ, Air Traffic Control and view career opportunities. The remaining four recipients will make their own way to the Airways NZ Air Traffic Control Tower closest to their home town.

Aspeq will also offer each recipient a complimentary sitting of the FRTO- Flight Radio Telephone Operators exam; this must be completed by 01 June 2017.

The scholarships are open to all persons who are enrolled as a Flying NZ Young Eagle and who are between the minimum age of 16 years and that person’s 18th birthday as at the closing date of entries.












Kirk Samuel Dakers Scholarship

This is the second year that this Scholarship has been made available to our Young Eagles groups and is in honour of Kirk Daker who was an Instructor at the Nelson Aviation College until his passing in 2014.

ABRIDGED CONDITIONS and RULES OF ENTRY

1. The Nelson Aviation College - Kirk Samuel Dakers Memorial Scholarship 2016 is to be used for Flight Training only and will be to the value of $3000.00.

2. The $3000.00 (GST inclusive) Scholarship moneys remain the sole property of Flying NZ and will be administered from the Flying NZ’s national office.

3. The scholarship is open to all persons who are enrolled as a Flying NZ Young Eagle, meeting the Scholarship criteria and who are between the minimum age of 15 years and that person’s 18th birthday as at the closing date of entries.

4. Entries close on 1st October 2016

5. Entries may be made by the individual Flying NZ Young Eagle or initiated by a Flying NZ affiliated Aero Club and must be on the official entry form.

6. No club shall enter more than one applicant.
