Young Eagle scholarships

Entries are mow open for the following flight training scholarships:

2018 Flying NZ Ross Macpherson Memorial Scholarship
Six scholarships of $3,200ea are available to Young Eagles members who are between 15 and 17 years old on 1 December 2017.
Each club may enter as many applicants as they wish.  However, no club shall have more than one applicant awarded a Flying NZ Ross Macpherson Memorial Young Eagles Flying Scholarship.
The scholarship winners must attend the Flying NZ National Championships in Timaru from 1st to 3rd March 2018 where the scholarships will be formally presented.




2018 Nelson Aviation College Kirk Samuel Dakers Memorial Scholarship

One scholarship of $3,000 is available to Young Eagles members who are between 15 and 17 years old on 1 December 2017.
No Aero Club can enter more than one applicant. Clubs may determine the method of selection of their applicants if more than one person in their club wishes to apply for the scholarship.
The scholarship winner must attend the Flying NZ National Championships in Timaru from 1st to 3rd March 2018 where the scholarship will be formally presented. This Scholarship has been made available to our Young Eagles groups in honour of Kirk Daker who was an Instructor at the Nelson Aviation College until his passing in 2014.

2018 Service IQ Flying NZ Scholarship

One scholarship of $2,000 is available to any Gateway Aviation student who is in Year 12 or 13 at the scholarship closing date.

Each club may enter as many applicants as they wish. The scholarship winner will be presented with their scholarship by their sponsoring Aero Club at a date and time that suits the club and the student’s Gateway Programme leader.

The application period for each of the above scholarships closes at 4pm on Friday 3rd November. Applications can be posted or e-mailed but must be received by that time. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted.
All scholarship winners will be advised by the end of November at the latest.

An applicant that wins one of the available scholarships is excluded from winning any other 2018 scholarship administered by Flying NZ.
