Welcome to the Matamata Aero ClubMatamata Aeroclub is a small club operating from the Matamata Aerodrome.
Matamata Airfield is central to Tauranga, Hamilton, Rotorua and Auckland.
The Club offers both flight training and instructor services as well as having aircraft available for hire.
The Club owns a Piper Cherokee, which is suitable for training, and also offers training in a privately owned Victor aircraft which is available to members. 
Most members are aircraft owners predominantly flying a range of home built aircraft.
Other activities on the field are Gliding, Parachuting and a range of other aeronautical activities. Often this can mean a busy self controlled airspace.
Accommodation is available if required.
