| The Hawera
Aero Club is situated 3 miles North West of Hawera, owning its own
grass field, and offering ab-initio flying instruction in both fixed wing trainers (Cessna 152, 172) and a micro light (Tecnam), operating under the oversight of the CFI of the New Plymouth club. Instruction available by appointment 3-4 days a week (usually including weekends). The main runway has PAL lighting for night operations, and there is a AWIB available.
