Aero Club was established in 1928 at Wigram airfield and has a long
history of pilot flight training. The modern day Club based at Christchurch
International Airport is New Zealand’s largest Aero Club. The Club’s private airfield at West Melton is five minutes flying time away. Rangiora Airfield, servicing North Canterbury members is 12 minutes away. Two large hangars house the 32 aircraft fleet with its own in-house engineering services ensuring that our aircraft are always serviceable.
